Welcome to ISB Certification of Educational Technology and Information Literacy

The course name is really long. As I realize that students are not so engaged in their reading when they have to read from black and white paper. From the first year that I started my teaching, I noticed that students love to watch video and newscript. Whenever I gave them paper to read, there were complains that the text was too long. However, they could spend more time on the video news I played than on the paper they read. I personally come to the conclusion that video and computer screen can catch their attention better than piece of paper. But I don't know how can I make this new technology works in order to create learning. This is the reason why I join this program.

Hopefully, at the end of the course I would be able to design my course that will be enjoyable to learn as well as motivate them to research more in the target language "Thai". Difficulties in learning Thai language should not be so obvious because they can use different kind of tools from this technology. I have been experimenting with news and selecting news from on-line material. The experiment does not seem to create any real learning except the on and off discussion about the news.

Learning language is involving with things around them and on-line information is one of the thing that students will encounter every day. Hopefully, I would be able to understand and able to implement this new environment of on-line information into the classroom. Finally, learning language will happen and that's if my final goal.
