This is rather difficult for me to implement in the Thai class. However, it seems to be very interesting and if possible, I would like to try to exercise this. As mentioned in this web-site:
http://ecologyofeducation.net/wsite/?p=285 "The benefits of this are two-fold. One, they have access to a broad range of content, yet depth in whatever topic they focus on. Two, If we can provide more opportunities for students to learn strategies for utilizing collaborative communities, we equip them with skills that will help them not only learn and understand more, but to apply that content in new and innovative ways." The dreaming of having this kind of learning environment in Thai class would be an ideal way that should stimulate the learning.
However, it is hard to find the appropriate web-site with the right language ability that would match with my current students. The limited Thai language ability makes me feel like I have to create and design my own web-site as a social network so that would suites the needs of my students. This will be a big dream and time consuming exercise for me. So far, I find only find one social network among Thai teachers working abroad in the www.siamwestdc.com that is very useful social network for sharing Thai teaching material. However, it is not yet the web-site where students can share their interest in Thai as a learning tools to improve their reading and writing Thai.
