How do you hope this impacts student learning?

I hope that pictures will impact their learning and understanding because there are concepts related to vocabulary learning that are bigger than meanings of individual words. This awareness of word concepts is crucial for building the skills necessary for students to learn words when they are reading independently. This is why learning through pictures will provide information as well as feeling and stimulation to remember the new vocabulary. However, I think that students need to be reminded all the times about their new vocabularies because, as a second language learner, they are not using it every day. Another impact I am hoping for is that learning with pictures will create learning mood rather a boring paper and pencil style. This would help in class motivation in learning new things.
